I grew up loving to cook, yes cook, among other things like, surfing, volleyball, skateboarding, and eating. Sounds pretty normal I know, but what it says, is that I love free expression. I was an early bloomer, I had my first job at eleven years old, and moved out when I was just sixteen years old. I had ideas, not sure what they were, but they kept me interested in always trying new things and experiences. It was not until the wake up call from my parents, that I decided to go back to school after graduating High School. So after giving it little thought, I went to the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco Ca. I flourished in this profession, loved it, and made it my mark on life. I was, and am a great chef with a passion for doing it my way.
During my many jobs as a professional chef, and executive level director for many large corporations, like Claim Jumper, Vicorp Restaurants, and Quizno's, I was exposed heavily to the wonderful world of Photography. I was fortunate enough to work with some really great people who shared my passion for creative expression in their field. I picked up a camera and never looked back. The technology, and the ability to put something on a canvas that was created within a split second, and have people look at it and feel what I felt at the exact moment, was and remains infectious.
So, I diversified myself and began doing both, until, I was exposed to Web Design. Wow, what a great tool for someone who has A.DD, and needs a major outlet for creativeness. I began web design back in the early 90's, and have loved this medium ever since. My work within the photography, food and web design business is plain. Make simple, easy to understand statements that show who you are on film, the plate or on the web.
My commitment to these forums is ongoing, and I would not have it any other way. I love this stuff.
